Medieval days in Tallinn old town, 9 to 12 July
While Ollesummer starts today in Lauluvaljak, Vana Tallinn (Tallinn old town) will welcome, as if it needed to have a more "middle agy" look, the medieval days (Keskaja Paevad), a festival organised by the Estonian Folk and Craft Union.
If you walk by the old town, you won't be able to miss it:
July 9
11.40: opening parade (starts at Viru gate, Viru street)
12.00: opening ceremony (Town Hall Square)
19.00: Grand Medieval Carnival @ Tallinn Town Hall. Performance by Ensemble Tormis (France): dansing, singing, games and other activities (tickets for sale in Piletilevi)
July 10
13.00: Long-Bow tournament (Town Hall Square). Lessons in Tallinn City Museum.

Day of walkabouts: excursions on the old town, startingfrom town hall square

10.00 > 18.00 : Craftsmen's market abd workshops. Troubadours and court musicians, jesters and contorsionists.
