On Thursday morning, like every day I wake up at 8.00, snooze several times and finally wake up at 8.15. Eyes are still quite closed and sleepy but open enough to help find my way to the shower. When I get out to have breakfast and open the shutters, oh surprise! It is white outside. Not a lot of snow but a small layer big enough to make everything white.
Thursday and Friday, snow was falling all day long and now roads are covered by this grey-melted-mud-snow. Smaller roads and roofs are white, preparing us for winter and for the -soon- opening of the Tallinn Christmas market on the 23rd of November, until the 7th January 2009. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., unfortunately it closes wayyyyyyy too early!
The Chritmas tree is already in the middle of Raekoja Plats and cost around 50 000EEK and is 25 metres high!

La Neige Accueille le Marché de Noël!
Jeudi matin, je me lève, prends ma douche encore à moitié endormi. Je sors et ouvre les volets et découvre que tout est blanc dehors! La neige est tombée durant la nuit et continuera à tomber toute la journée ainsi qu'aujourd'hui.
Les routes sont bien sûr couvertes de cette mixture neige-boue-grisâtre-immonde mais les toîts et la vieille ville sont bien blancs, nous préparant ainsi à l'hiver et à l'ouverture du marché de Noël le 23 Novembre, et ce jusqu'au 7 Janvier 2009, de 9h à 19h chaque jour (sympa 19h mais je sors à peine du boulot!).
Le grand sapin de Noël comtemple déjà, depuis ses 25 mètres de haut, Raekoja Plats et aura coûté plus de 3000€! Deux nouveaux records.
