The Curious case of Benjamin Button in Coca Cola Plaza

The Curious case of Benjamin Button
is on the screen this week in Coca Cola Plaza in Tallinn during the "Good Movies Week" - "Hää Filmi Nädal" and it is one of the few really good ones.
We watched Revolutionnary Road (boring) and Doubt (a bit "flat") and were really expecting something different from Benjamin Button.

The movie is directed by David Fincher who once again after Seven and Fight Club asked Brad Pitt to play the main character. Adpated from the short story by Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, the movie starts like this: "My name is Benjamin Button. I was born under unusual circumstances...".

Indeed, Benjamin was born at the end of the 1st World War in 1918....BUT old! Day by day Benjamin is getting younger while the others are ageing. In the movie, his story is told by Caroline to Daisy Williams who is about to die at the hospital while Katrina is devastating Florida.

Like in Forrest Gump, we live the life of Benjamin Button through his encounters, adventures, lovers, pain, drama and moments of happiness.

If you wish to buy the novel before watching the movie, it is available here new from 4,09€ - bilingual version English-French

Here is the trailer of the movie:
