We were recently watching a show on Kanal 2 (Kanal kaks) on the Estonian TV and I was astonished by the amount of advertising.
The show or the movies are cut an incredible amount of times (hopefully the level of the shows usually do not need a high level of focus) and the breaks are so long! The movies usually end after midnight.
I took some notes yesterday as an example (I started at the end only):
- 21.43: advertising break
- 21.51: show restarts
- 22.03: advertising break
- 22.12: show restarts
- 22.26: end of the show
On the contrary, ETV does not cut the movies and let people have some sleep and rest from crappy advertising.
