Proposal on progressive income tax to be voted by the Riigikogu

On Monday, the Centre Party submitted a proposal for adopting the progressive income tax to the Riigikogu.

The legislative proposal involves establishing a higher tax level of 33% on income that exceeds EEK 25,000 per month.

The party finds that this would make it possible to generate EEK 2 billion of extra revenue to next year’s budget.
